LIVE: 119th US Open – Round 1

Cape Town – Follow the opening round of the 119th US Open Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California on Thursday.

There are NINE South Africans in the field, namely four-time major champion Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Justin Harding, Erik van Rooyen, Justin Walters, Dean Burmester, Merrick Bremner and amateur Jovan Rebula.

The only South African of the group to have won the US Open is Els, who triumphed in 1994 and 1997.
