Detoxification is one of our bodies’ primary function. The liver filters out toxins, so they can be eliminated from the body. In theory, this should be enough to keep our bodies healthy and internal systems running smoothly. But we live in a world where there’s enough pollution to damage our atmosphere. Not to mention our food are treated with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics. Add highly processed and genetically modified food, and you get a recipe for disaster.

Going on a detox is a way to help our bodies optimize its detoxification system. A good detox program usually involves letting our organs rest through fasting. The fast stimulates the liver, and with no additional food coming, it can focus on the toxins we imbibed before the fast. We can help our liver here by using the best jade roller for face to help unclog any blocks in the lymphatic system. The body then begins to flush out the toxin through our kidneys, lymphatic system, intestines, skin, and lungs. After flushing out the toxins, the body rebuilds its immune system, and you can start resupplying the body with proper nourishment. Because of the drastic changes you make in detox, it’s best to consult your doctor before plunging ahead and remain under his or her supervision until you complete your detox program.

A good detox program can last for a few days to up to a week. With our hectic schedule, going on an elaborate detox plan is usually not an option. Fasting makes us cranky and unable to focus in the first couple of days, making our productivity dive to zero.  This begs the question: Can we detox naturally without hurting our productivity and making any drastic changes? Yes, through permanent lifestyle changes that effectively reduce the load of toxins that enter our bodies while maximizing our bodies’ ability to expel them. It also helps to use the proper tools, like the best jade roller for face to help our lymphatic system circulating properly.

You also lighten the load on your kidneys, which bear the brunt of flushing out toxins. Begin with brisk walking or light runs, move up to running or enrolling in a gym – anything to get your heart rate up and your sweat out. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water.

  1. Hi,

I wanted to see if I could add some value to what was already brought to the article. I’ve been detoxing my liver for a couple of years now. During that time, I’ve learned many ways to cleanse my liver of the toxins and impurities that I’ve been exposed to throughout my environment. One of the methods that I have implemented almost on a daily basis is something you touched on in the article, drinking Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV).

I usually pour about a couple teaspoons right into a bottle of water and drink it 2 – 3 times a day. Drinking ACV has helped me in many ways. It has helped me lose weight, curb my appetite and the over-eating problem I’ve had most of my life. And finally drinking it right before I turn in at night helps me sleep better.

Another way I like to use ACV is by doing a detox foot soak. I pour 1 cup of ACV and 1 cup of Epsom salt in a basin of hot water and soak my feet for a least of 30 minutes. Not only do my feet feel great after doing this it helps to detox my liver.

There’s a well-written article that I found that mentions 6 more ways to detox and cleanse your liver your readers may find helpful at
