Wolves 2-1 Chelsea: Pedro Neto scores injury time winner as Blues miss chance to go top of Premier League
Chelsea missed out on the chance to go top of the Premier League for a second time in five days as Wolves came from behind to earn a late 2-1 victory at Molineux. The in-form Olivier Giroud had put the visitors ahead with a sharp volley that just about crossed Rui Patricio’s goal-line but Daniel Podence equalised for Wolves midway through the second half. The home side thought they had been handed a chance to win it from the spot late on when Pedro Neto went down under the challenge of Reece James, but VAR correctly overturned referee Stuart Attwell’s on-field decision to award a penalty, with no contact made by the Blues defender.
