West Brom lead loan race for West Ham’s Grady Diangana as they battle Derby and Middlesbrough for England Under-20 star
- The Baggies are close to agreeing a season-long loan deal for the winger
- The 21-year-old made 21 appearances and scored two goals last season
- Diangana is highly-rated and has represented England at Under-20 level
The Baggies are ahead of Championship rivals including Middlesbrough and Derby in the race for the winger.
Diangana’s suitors are in talks with West Ham but West Brom are closest to meeting the Londoners’ terms.
West Brom, Middlesbrough and Derby are battling it out to sign Diangana on a 12-month loan
The midfielder made 21 appearances last season and has impressed during pre-season
The 21 year-old burst onto the scene last year, making 21 appearances and scoring twice and also breaking into England’s Under-20 setup.
But Manuel Pellegrini is willing to let Diangana go out on loan to continue his development with Andriy Yarmalenko returning to fitness and Pablo Fornals arriving this summer to increase his attacking options.
